Ice Skating in Missoula

Raining in January? All the more reason to grab your ice skates and see what moves you can master!

Now that I’m a grown-up, I have very fond memories of ice skating as a child, both at our local ice dome, and on the pond on our family farm…in rural Montana. Missoula has some great substitute options for me, allowing me to give those same memories to my kids!

Check out Missoula’s Glacier Ice Rink. They have year round ice skating, both indoors and outdoors. Don’t have your own skates? No worries they have ones you can rent! For those of you with your own skates, you should  check out the Frenchtown Pond. Ice skating in the middle of the wilderness covered with snow – FUN! Or head to Darby and show off your moves at the Darby Ice Skating Rink, located behind the People’s Market. Remember to bring your skates!
